How Can I Help?
You can help the KidsKnowIt Network spread the word about our free educational resources, and help children around the world improve their educational opportunities.
-
Link To Our Sites
The most important thing that you can do, is to place a link on your website back to one or all of ours. Why is this so important? A link is the easiest way to tell other people about us. It makes it very easy for someone to click on and visit us. Teacher home pages, and library websites are an especially good place to put links, because these are locations where many children are likely to be browsing the Internet. Personal home pages, blogs, forum signatures, home school news groups or any other place where you can put a link back to us will help spread the word.
-
Recommended Site In Newsletters
Featuring one or all of our sites in a newsletter, such as a school newsletter, a library newsletter, a community newsletter, etc, is a great way to help others learn about our project, so that they can take advantage of our free resources.
-
Featured Site In The Media
Are you a member of the media? You have a unique opportunity to help others find and benefit from our websites. Featuring us in magazines, newscasts, radio broadcasts, blogs, news outlets, etc will help to bring our educational tools to the children who need them.
-
Tell Your Friends
This may seem obvious, but it is one of the most effective ways to spread the word about our project. When conversing with friends let them know about us. Consider sending an email to friends and family who have children with a link to one or all of our sites. One especially effective way to tell your friends, is to pick a tool, game, or activity on one of our sites that you like, and forward a link to it, to your friends and family. Often they will then forward these emails on to other friends and family.
-
Tell Your Classroom Teacher, Or Local Librarian
Teachers and librarians are a great resource. They are often looking for ways to improve their students learning experience. Show them one or all of our sites, and recommend that they use it with their students. You might also recommend that they place a link on their classroom or library website back to one or all of our sites.
